چکیده
In this study, a problem of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) induced Navier slip flow over non-linear stretching and shrinking sheet with the existence suction is considered. Similarity transformation used to transform governing nonlinear partial differential equations into system ordinary equations. The transformed are then solved by using Shooting Method in Maple software. Dual solutions obtained for certain parameters. results show that improves skin friction, while parameter reduces shear wall stress. Moreover, it established range dual smaller compared case.

15 صفحه اولEntropy Generation In an Unsteady MHD Channel Flow With Navier Slip and Asymmetric Convective Cooling
The combined effects of magnetic field, Navier slip and convective heating on the entropy generation in a flow of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid between two infinite horizontal parallel plates under a constant pressure gradient have been examined. Both the lower and upper plates of the channel are subjected to asymmetric convective heat exchange with the ambient fluid. T...
متن کاملMHD Non-Newtonian Nanofluid Flow over a Permeable Stretching Sheet with Heat Generation and Velocity Slip
The problem of magnetohydrodynamics boundary layer flow and heat transfer on a permeable stretching surface in a second grade nanofluid under the effect of heat generation and partial slip is studied theoretically. The Brownian motion and thermophoresis effects are also considered. The boundary layer equations governed by the PDE’s are transformed into a set of ODE’s with the help of local simi...
متن کاملNumerical Simulation of MHD Boundary Layer Stagnation Flow of Nanofluid over a Stretching Sheet with Slip and Convective Boundary Conditions
An investigation is carried out on MHD stagnation point flow of water-based nanofluids in which the heat and mass transfer includes the effects of slip and convective boundary conditions. Employing the similarity variables, the governing partial differential equations including continuity, momentum, energy, and concentration have been reduced to ordinary ones and solved by using...
متن کاملSlip flow of an optically thin radiating non-Gray couple stress fluid past a stretching sheet
This paper addresses the combined effects of couple stresses, thermal radiation, viscous dissipation and slip condition on a free convective flow of a couple stress fluid induced by a vertical stretching sheet. The Cogley- Vincenti-Gilles equilibrium model is employed to include the effects of thermal radiation in the study. The governing boundary layer equations are transformed into a system o...
